About

Rio Seco Boarding

At Rio Seco Boarding, horses aren't just animals — they’re family. Our Farmington-based horse boarding stable was built on a lifelong passion for horses, a deep respect for the land, and a commitment to providing a safe, clean, and caring environment for every horse that comes through our gates.

Whether you're staying overnight or boarding long-term, we’re here to give your horse the same attention and comfort we give our own.

A Stable Built on Generations of Experience

Hi, I’m Kevin, and I’ve called Farmington home for many years. I started Rio Seco Boarding out of a lifelong passion for horses and a desire to help owners care for them in a way that’s reliable, respectful, and stress-free.

This business is rooted in community. It’s where I live, work, and raise my family—and that commitment shows in how we care for each horse and every owner. Whether you’re here for a quick overnight stay or a long-term arrangement, we treat your horse like part of the family.

Rio Seco Boarding brings together over 55 years of combined equestrian experience. That depth of knowledge helps us offer professional, attentive care and well-run facilities that support both comfort and safety. We know what horses need to stay healthy, calm, and well-adjusted—and we’re here to deliver that every day.

If you’ve been searching for a place you can trust, where the people genuinely care and the stables are always clean, we’d love to welcome you to Rio Seco.

Our Mission

To provide a safe, dependable, and welcoming boarding environment where horses are cared for with professionalism and heart—and where owners feel confident their animals are in good hands.

We believe peace of mind should come standard with every boarding arrangement. That’s why we offer 24/7 access, on-site supervision, flexible care plans, and space for owners to stay close by.
